LUZI AG celebrates its 85th anniversary with a new corporate design.

The first LUZI office located abroad.

2010

   

Operation of a new, efficient filling plant to significantly expand the capacities for larger batch production.

2009

   

Expansion of the technical instruments park.

2007

   

New components are added to the automated mixing plant.

2004

   

Expansion of the production building to meet the growing demand. An additional dosing system goes into operation.

2001

   

Luzi AG celebrates its 75th anniversary.

2000

 

Expansion of storage warehouse facility and operation of the high-rack warehouse.
Quality processes in product development, manufacture and sales are recognized with the award of an ISO certificate. 

1999

 

Dr Rolf Altenburger hands over the day-to-day running of the company to a new team of executives and becomes the new President of the Board.

1980

 

Following success in Europe and the Middle East, Luzi expands into new markets in Latin America and the Far East.

1974

Eduard Altenburger transfers day-to-day management to his son, Dr Rolf Altenburger.

1969

 

The company relocates to a new production site and office headquarters in Dietlikon, close to Zurich Airport.

1962

 

The fragrance created for an international bathing product and top seller is the basis of Luzi's success.

1952

Eduard Altenburger takes over a majority shareholding in Luzi AG. Even during the Second World War, the amateur perfumer from Zurich was already supporting the business by using his own compounds to replace deliveries suspended from German suppliers. He lays the foundation for the company's positive post-war development.

1926

 

Hermann Luzi founds a business for "commercial trade in perfume compounds, essential oils and non-toxic colours" that becomes the cornerstone for the company's long-standing success story.
